Fees

Mr. Khazali is recognised by most major UK private medical insurers. However, each insurer sets its own reimbursement limits, which may not always match Mr. Khazali’s fees. You are responsible for any shortfall not covered by your insurer.

Fee-Assured Insurers

·       Bupa and Aviva: Mr. Khazali is a fee-assured consultant with these insurers. Consultation and surgical fees are usually covered in full, and no shortfall is expected in most cases.

Other Insurers (including AXA, WPA, and others)

·       For these insurers, Mr. Khazali is not fee-assured, meaning a shortfall will apply if the insurer’s reimbursement does not meet his standard fees.

·       A shortfall is always required with AXA, as they do not permit surgical fee uplifts.

·       Some other insurers may allow an application for uplift, which can increase their contribution in complex cases. If the uplift is not granted or only partially covers the fee, you will be responsible for the remaining shortfall.

·       An estimate will be provided in advance, including:

o   The full consultation or surgical fee

o   The insurer’s expected contribution

o   The maximum shortfall payable by you

As a guide (shortfalls if your insurer in not Bupa or Aviva):

·       Shortfall for consultations:

o   Up to £255.00 for an initial consultation

o   Up to £140.00 for a follow-up consultation

·       Surgical shortfalls typically range between £450.00 and £3,000.00, depending on the complexity of the case and the number of consultants involved.
